Grain Storage Challenges
As a major rice-producing region in China, Anhui faces severe challenges in rice storage due to the combination of seasonal concentrated harvests and a hot, humid climate (average summer temperatures of 28–32°C and relative humidity exceeding 70%). Traditional brick-and-concrete silos are prone to mold and frequent pest infestations, resulting in post-harvest loss rates as high as 5%–8%, and they struggle to meet the "long-term, stable supply" demands of large-scale processing enterprises.
Solution
Addressing Anhui's climate characterized by "hot summers, cold winters, and humid rainy seasons," the project achieves breakthroughs in three key areas: structural design, environmental control, and operational efficiency:
1. Utilizing high-strength galvanized steel plates with a fully enclosed design to block external moisture, combined with protective components such as insect screens and rodent barriers to prevent pest infestations at the source.
2. An integrated mechanical ventilation and grain cooling system monitors temperature and humidity inside the silos in real time (with an accuracy of ±1°C/±2% RH). By automatically adjusting airflow to suppress rice respiration, the storage period is extended to over 12 months, with quality loss rates controlled below 1%.
3. Six 1,500-ton silos form a "cluster-style grain storage matrix," capable of handling up to 300 tons of grain per day.
